How to get flawless skin in 2 simple steps

I have been intrigued by the Korean 10 step beauty routine for quite a while. Have you heard of it? The Korean beauty routine has been discussed, analyzed and explained in the western hemisphere in the last 3-5 years.  Its popularity has introduced many fun and exciting Korean brands and products, some you might have seen advertised in stores like Target and Sephora.

One of the main differences between a typical American beauty routine, is that a Korean 10 step beauty routine starts with two cleanses.  The first is with an oil cleanser followed by a foaming or gel cleanser. I recently decided to add a double-cleanse to my skin care regimen.  The oil cleanser will remove oil based debris: makeup, sebum and gunk. The foaming or gel cleanser removes dirt and sweat. I experimented with this additional cleanse for over 2 weeks and I was quite surprised by my results.

To start, I am loving Boscia’s charcoal makeup melter for my oil cleanser. I love that I can use this on dry skin. I massage this makeup melter for a good 2-3 minutes, then rinse, but I don’t dry off.  Next I use a gel or foaming cleanser, depending on how my skin is that day. If I am breaking out, I use a gel because it tends to be more effective on acne. The second cleanse typically takes 3-4 minutes, and I can either use my cleansing brush or my fingers. Doing the latter allows for a relaxing facial massage. Finally, I rinse and wipe off with my 4x4 sponges.  My face feels amazing. Dewy, glowing and radiant skin from 2 simple cleansing steps in my regimen. It instantly feels soft and hydrated. The make-up melter adds an amazing amount of moisture but still gives me a great cleanse! I have been so thrilled with how my skin looks and feels after my experiment.
